Meditations On Leadership
These are my thoughts on leadership related topics and ideas. It is meant to be a sort of journal for me and if you find it useful than I am happy to have helped.
Sometimes I have thoughts or I find quotes that I really like and they don't really make a coherent blog post. I don't want to lose those thoughts so these Random Meditation posts are designed so I don't lose them. Dog and Cart "When a dog is tied to a cart, if it wants to follow, it is pulled and follows, making its spontaneous act coincide with necessity. But if the dog does not follow, it will be compelled in any case. So it is with men too: even if they don't want to, they will be compelled to follow what is destined." -Zeno Stardust"We are all literally made of stardust." -Massimo Pigliucci Money“Reason is unique among the faculties assigned to us in being able to evaluate itself – what it is, what it is capable of, how valuable it is – in addition to passing judgement on others. What decides whether a sum of money is good? The money is not going to tell you; it must be the faculty that makes use of such impressions – reason.” -Epictetus Focus on quality of life not quantity of life"Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon." -Susan Ertz Handling Insults“If anyone tells you that a certain person speaks ill of you, do not make excuses about what is said of you but answer, “He was ignorant of my other faults, else he would not have mentioned these alone.” — Epictetus Do good"If we can do a lot we should, but if we can only do a little that's no excuse for doing nothing." -Massimo Pigliucci
